Doug joined this great organization on June 26, 1979 and throughout the years, he has provided dedicated service and leadership as both an administrative and fire line officer.

When we post these anniversary announcements, we always mention “the member has performed hundreds, thousands or even tens of thousands of man hours of training and service in an effort to continue the rich traditions of the FFD.” Well, in this case, we can’t imagine the hours that Doug has served this department. He has tens of thousands of hours in “fire prevention” alone in the ‘80’s & ‘90’s.

Doug recently moved back to Frostburg in preparation of his pending retirement from the Montgomery County Fire-Rescue Department, where he is currently a Battalion Chief, and is serving as the FFD training officer.

On behalf of the entire Department and the citizens of Frostburg and surrounding areas, thank you and happy 35th Doug!!
