FROSTBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT
The Chief and Assistant Chief of the Frostburg Fire Department are, respectively, Joseph Bone and Walter W. Wittig, and the former has just made known his selection of subsidiary officers, as follows:

Central Fire House – John D. Keller, Captain of chemical engine squad; George Lucus, Captain of 4-wheel reel squad; John T. Hart, Captain of hook and ladder squad and Thomas Griffith, Captain of the 2-wheel reel squad.

Bowery Street Hose House – Harry Fuller, Captain of reel squad and Theo. Sperry, Captain of hook and ladder squad.

Federal Hill Hose House – William Griffith, Captain.

Grant Street Hose House – Richard Thomas, Captain.
Chief plugman – Alfred Jeffries
Chief patrolman – William Warn

Chief Bone’s appointments cover 84 names – 7 Captains, 75 subordinates, 1 plugman and 1 patrolman. These with 16 elective officers, indicate that the department is exactly 100 strong.
