FFD Completes Training in Acquired Structure

The FFD, under supervision of Assistant Fire Chief/Training Officer, Chris Wainwright, conducted training today and concentrated on effective “primary victim search” utilizing a Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) in heavy smoke conditions. Joining the training were members from neighboring Automatic Aid departments Mt. Savage (15) and Midland (18).

Special thanks to Frostburg State University (FSU) and Director of Facilities, Bob Boyce. Director Boyce allowed us to train numerous times at the Braddock Road location, prior to the structure being raised.
