- 1903 – The City of Frostburg buys the Department a modern American LaFrance horse-drawn hook and ladder truck at the cost of $650.
- 1907 – The City of Frostburg buys the Department a horse-drawn chemical engine at the cost of $1,180.
- 1916 – The FFD accepts a bid for its first motorized piece of fire apparatus. An American LaFrance Combination engine and hose motor car, which costs $3,700. Known as the “Brockway Type D” it is delivered on February 1, 1917.
- 1949 – The Department purchases an Ahrens Fox EC, 750 GPM Hale pump with a 300 gallon tank Pumper, which replaces the ’26 Studebaker-Prospect.
