Passing of FFD Brother, William R. Davis April 11, 2014 Events No comments: It is with regret and deep sadness that we report the passing of Frostburg Fire Department Brother William R. (Bill) Davis.Bill joined the FFD on February 24, 1963 serving with pride for 51 years. He held just about every rank including Assistant Chief. Bill was awarded the Firefighter of the Year award in 1974 and he also served the City of Frostburg as the Police-Fire Commissioner and later as the Mayor.Our thoughts and prayers are with his son William R. (Buzz) Davis, also a FFD life-member and the entire family.

The viewing will be Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm at Durst Funeral Home on Frost Avenue in Frostburg.

A church service will be held on Monday at the Methodist Church on West Main Street in Frostburg from11:00 am – 12:00 pm followed by grave side services. A luncheon at Methodist Church will follow.
