Length of Service Anniversary

Please help us congratulate Wes Foor on his "Length of Service" anniversary. Wes joined this great organization on April 11, 1978 and throughout the years, provided dedicated service and leadership as both an administrative and fire line officer.Over the years, Wes has performed thousands of man hours of training and service in an effort to continue the rich traditions of the FFD. Wes now lives in Rawlings where he is currently the Deputy Fire Chief of the Rawlings VFD.
On behalf of the entire Department and the citizens of Frostburg, Rawlings and surrounding areas, THANK YOU and happy 36th!!

Passing of FFD Brother, William R. Davis

It is with regret and deep sadness that we report the passing of Frostburg Fire Department Brother William R. (Bill) Davis.Bill joined the FFD on February 24, 1963 serving with pride for 51 years. He held just about every rank including Assistant Chief. Bill was awarded the Firefighter of the Year award in 1974 and he also served the City of Frostburg as the Police-Fire Commissioner and later as the Mayor.Our thoughts and prayers are with his son William R. (Buzz) Davis, also a FFD life-member and the entire family.The viewing will be Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Durst Funeral Home on Frost Avenue in Frostburg.
A church service will be held on Monday at the Methodist Church on West Main Street in Frostburg from11:00 am – 12:00 pm followed by grave side services.
