The FOY selection committee consisted of, L to R, Gary Tummino (2012) Matt McMorran and Dale Bladen (2013). Absence is last year’s recipient, Todd Logsdon. This is Hanson’s second time (1992) receiving the top honor.

The inscription on the Firefighter of the Year plaque reads, “The recipient must be a member of the department who characterizes the best attributes of being an instrumental part of the FFD, by demonstrating superior performance, motivation, leadership and dedication.”
Performance, motivation, leadership and dedication; all very important and all very applicable to the FOY recipient!
