FFD members were on hand for fire prevention and student recruiting at the 2016 FSU Block Party on Wednesday night.Great turn out and some serious student interest in joining the FFD to help with our mission of protecting life, property and the environment.

FFD Training

The FFD conducted a training drill last night, which focused on getting large flow devices and hand lines in service within 3 minutes per NFPA 1410.Units accomplished the objective and then expanded the water supply with additional deck guns and hand lines.
FFD members were joined by F/F's from Shaft VFD (Station 17) to bring the total of participating firefighters to more than 30. A post drill "Hot Wash" was conducted to reveal strengths and weaknesses.
