FFD Members Complete EVOC

Congratulations to the following FFD members, who successfully completed the Emergency Vehicle Operator’s Course (EVOC) last week.

The class was held over three days and teaches students major concepts of emergency vehicle driving including safety, legal issues, communications, vehicle inspection and preparation, physical forces affecting driving and the operation of an emergency vehicle and demonstrate basic competency as a driver of an emergency vehicle.

Super Hero Challenge

FFD members joined other county fire departments and local law enforcement agencies to participate in the second annual Super Hero Challenge event on Saturday, which was held at Allegany College.

The event was organized by Family Function, a non-profit dedicated to promoting positive parenting. “Because families matter!”
