Fireman, 2 Children Die

Barton Man Collapses on Rescue

Blaze Destroys Mobile Home in Frostburg.
A flaming house trailer in Frostburg claimed the lives of three persons today, including two young children who died shortly before noon in Minors Hospital, and a fireman who collapsed and died after helping one of the children from the blazing mobile home.

Victims of the tragic accident were Jeffrey Bullers, 2, and Douglas Bullers, his 14-month-old brother, who were rushed to the Minors after being carried from the house trailer. They were the children of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowlers.

Declared dead on arrival at minors was James Elsworth Lamberson, 31, Fire Chief of the Barton Hose Company, who responded to the alarm

CONGRATULATIONS BOBCAT BASEBALL!

Even though the FSU Bobcat's impressive and record-setting 2015 season came to a close Monday night in the semifinals of the NCAA Baseball Championship, the FFD helped welcome our champions home last night.

The second-ranked Bobcats lost to top-ranked SUNY Cortland in an elimination game at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton WI.

Frostburg caps its season with a 43-9 overall record and was one of the final four teams left standing in all of NCAA Division III baseball.
