FFD Attends Autumn Glory Festival

October 12, 2018 Events  No comments

Engine 164 and the recently restored Hose Reel made an appearance at last night’s Autumn Glory Parade in Oakland, MD. The crew spent the entire day getting both pieces shined up and ready, and their efforts paid off, bringing home a trophy for “Best Appearing Antique Apparatus – 25 Years or Older”, and looking pretty sharp while doing it.

E164, our 1988 Seagrave, has attended countless Autumn Glory Festivals over the years, but sadly, this will likely be the last time she will see the parade as an in-service pumper. E164 is slated to be replaced by a 2019 Pierce Enforcer next summer!

This is the first, but certainly not the last, appearance of the Frostburg Fire Department’s original Hose Reel after being restored in 2015.

Well done Gentleman!
